Yeah!!!! & Yuck!!!!

Miss Zoey managed to turn without me realizing it=) I went to the midwives today and she is indeed head down and at -2 station...basically just barely in my pelvis but not appearing to be budging. I'm also already 3 centimeters. First this pregnancy is gone in the blink of an eye, maybe we can get thru labor without noticing too?!?

The yuck is that my poor Lottie has the stomach bug that's been going around. We were up most of last nite with her and she seems to be doing better tonite. However, she fell asleep at 5:30 this evening and is not interested in being up again so we'll see just how early she wants to get up tomorrow...

Uncooperative little baby!!!

Well, I'm 36 1/2 weeks pregnant now so little Zoey should be here sometime soon we hope. I had my last appointment last Friday and they verified that she is frank breech. I got to see her on the ultrasound again which was neat. She has huge feet like her sister and lots of hair (also like Lottie). However, she also appears to be lazy/comfortable where she is. (I have no idea where she gets that from;) We've been trying moxibustion this week to see if we can coax her to turn around but so far no luck. Just a nice congested mommy from the smoke. Since I was trying for a VBAC they can't manually turn her due to my scar from Lottie, so we may be looking at a repeat C-section. I go back on Friday so I'll know more then.

Our 5th attempt at Moxibustion... the sticks are getting small so we'll see if they last til my next appointment...

Helpful Lottie brushes my hair and hugs me while we sit with smoking hot sticks at my toes

She stood still!!!

Lottie just woke up as I was finishing and wanted her picture taken. Normally she runs, wiggles leans around behind the camera requiring several tries for one pic!!! This time---perfect! 1st try!

Conquering Delete-ophobia!

Our first ( and only real) snowfall back in December!!!

My camera is officially empty and ready to go!!! All 700+ pics are on my computer and the last(i think?!?) bunch is loading to Shutterfly as I type so if I promised to send particular ones to anyone please let me know my memory is gone.

Here are some pics of the rarely photographed grandfathers and some favorites from Christmas!!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom/Gram!!! Hope you have a happy day!!!

Things have been fairly quiet around here. Slowly getting ready for Miss Zoey to arrive. Most of her clothes are washed and put away and after today I should have both the hospital bag and Lottie's overnight bag ready. Just have to wait for some laundry to be done and my helpers to come at 3:30. I'm to the point where there is no way I can vacuum or do dishes simply because the baby belly is in the way. Zac's been a big help and on Mondays & Wednesdays I get Louie to come and help carry and bend for me. And Buzz plays with Lottie, so I get so much more done.

On Monday Zac and I got to spend the day by ourselves...I know highly extravagant...but it hasn't happened in awhile and probably will be a long time before it happens again. Lottie went to play with the kids at Nana's and we went to Harrisonburg for the afternoon. We had gift cards from Christmas to spend so we had a lot of fun. I got a new sewing book at the book store=) So even though I can't sit at my dining room table to sew (sciatica and my chairs don't agree) I can still plot and plan for when my hips are somewhat functional again. And we went out to eat and to look at furniture (just to look...which i think probably annoys sales people) to get an idea of what we want someday when we have a few $ to put towards our house. Sometimes its more fun to dream than to actually do something about it=)

Not much happening on my craft/sewing list due to immobility and the vain attempt to try and keep my stress level low but I am currently in the middle of two crochet projects--one for Mom's birthday (hoping to complete by Friday) and a baby car seat blanket for Kim's new baby girl...due sometime after me I hope...I think our due dates are three weeks apart this time. I will post pictures as soon as they are done. And I'm in the process of getting more pics on the computer now so I will be able to show some of the things we have been up to since October, which is apparently when I started to forget to finish things. Hopefully my brain will come back soon...If anybody has seen it please tell it I need it back.....

Long time no Blogging:(

Sorry it has been so long since I last updated. Life has been crazy busy since the beginning of November. We took two trips to Ferrum, Va, one of which also included visits to other family members in Roanoke and Lynchburg. Lots of fun and very exhausting. I got a cold/allergies both times and I'm still trying to get over the last one. I spent much of December making Christmas presents, some of which I actually think I might have remembered to take pics of before I wrapped them but my camera battery is dead and I cannot find my charger so I guess I'll have to wait for Zac and Lottie to come back from the grocery store. That's right I'm actually all by my lonesome for a little while:) Well, if you don't count the dog, cat and wiggling baby in my tummy...

Miss Zoey should be here sometime in the next 6 weeks!!! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. We went to the midwives yesterday and she is finally head down, which would probably explain the renewed hip and pelvic pain over the last few days...Only 3 weeks til full term and they said if she tries to come early, as long as I'm progressing they won't try to stop her since I'm trying for a successful VBAC... My baby shower is this afternoon so I'm very excited, its time to wash clothes and get organized, and I guess I should get around to packing a hospital bag...hmm...

Part of my plans for the New Year include trying to keep this updated, so as long as Lottie keeps cooperating, ie leaving the computer alone while awake or actually taking a nap the I should be able to succeed. I'll try to add pics soon too! Hopefully I got one of Lottie in her Christmas dress w/ her dolly that I made her...hmmm...if not I guess I know what she's wearing to church tomorrow:)

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2008!
