Miss Zoey is here!!!

I realize I'm probably last to announce her birth but there was no wireless at the hospital so I had to wait until we got home.

We had a very exciting Valentine's day this year! I went into labor Wednesday nite around 10:30 so we waited until contractions were regular, and left about 11:30 to drop off Lottie with Nana & Gramps. We got to the hospital around 12:15 and Miss Zoey was born at 2:05 am. It was a very quick delivery with some complications (ie long recovery) for me since they had to get her out quickly due to distress. She was 7lbs 8.8 oz and 20 inches long. And we are home and getting settled in=) When I was able to talk to family later I found out we had another blessing for Valentine's day. My sister, Kim, had had her third baby girl that morning too. Eloise Meave was born at 6:36 am, weighing 7lbs 1 oz and was also 20 inches long.

I have entered Miss Lottie in a cutest baby contest! If everyone could go to this site starting Monday February 18th and vote for her I would muchly appreciate. Miss Zoey has not made an appearance yet so I can't enter her this time=( Will update as soon as she does though...

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Joe, Joey, & Roseann!!!

And so far it isn't Zoey's birthday but we shall see. I went to the midwives yesterday and am almost 5 centimeters and they did the membrane thing to try to speed things up but so far no luck. Maybe we'll make it to tomorrow so she can have a birthday of her own, no sharing=)

Seeing as this is so far a quiet week...no sign of Miss Zoey yet! We'll just have to wait & see if the three hours of braxton-hicks contractions last night were useful at all(most likely not)! I figured I might as well take Tilly up on her tag, even though everyone I know has already been tagged.

Here goes:

1) My favorite chore/household whatever is to get the mail. I love seeing what's in the box. It's normally not for me or a bill but occasionally we get cards, netflix, etc and I love opening it=)

2) I detest all other chores, especially cooking, for the most part unless it includes organizing and purging.

3) I love happy colors-- pink being the happiest-- they always make life better...And yes you can be in a "pink" mood.

4) I seem to be semi-nomadic--I'm quite happy to only stay in a place/house for a year or so and then I either need to move or be able to do major renovations and redecorating. Probably the reason I play musical rooms every six months or so=)

5) Maybe this is pregnancy talking but I could quite possibly live on goldfish crackers and honey roasted peanuts!

6)Favorite past times-- curling up and watching a movie with Monkey & Lottie or working on my never ending craft list...

7) I love free things and and random drawings. Maybe someday I'll win something;)

Those were the most random things I could come up with at the moment. Can anybody think of anything that maybe I missed? Off to finish up the last few crochet projects etc before the arrival of our Zoey! I can't wait to meet her, if only we could skip the labor and delivery part...hmmm...

Yeah!!!! & Yuck!!!!

Miss Zoey managed to turn without me realizing it=) I went to the midwives today and she is indeed head down and at -2 station...basically just barely in my pelvis but not appearing to be budging. I'm also already 3 centimeters. First this pregnancy is gone in the blink of an eye, maybe we can get thru labor without noticing too?!?

The yuck is that my poor Lottie has the stomach bug that's been going around. We were up most of last nite with her and she seems to be doing better tonite. However, she fell asleep at 5:30 this evening and is not interested in being up again so we'll see just how early she wants to get up tomorrow...

Uncooperative little baby!!!

Well, I'm 36 1/2 weeks pregnant now so little Zoey should be here sometime soon we hope. I had my last appointment last Friday and they verified that she is frank breech. I got to see her on the ultrasound again which was neat. She has huge feet like her sister and lots of hair (also like Lottie). However, she also appears to be lazy/comfortable where she is. (I have no idea where she gets that from;) We've been trying moxibustion this week to see if we can coax her to turn around but so far no luck. Just a nice congested mommy from the smoke. Since I was trying for a VBAC they can't manually turn her due to my scar from Lottie, so we may be looking at a repeat C-section. I go back on Friday so I'll know more then.

Our 5th attempt at Moxibustion... the sticks are getting small so we'll see if they last til my next appointment...

Lottie just woke up as I was finishing and wanted her picture taken. Normally she runs, wiggles leans around behind the camera requiring several tries for one pic!!! This time---perfect! 1st try!
