Great Fun for Lottie!

Weekend Highlights--

We had a slightly busy but fun filled weekend! On Saturday we had brunch with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. The lovely purse below was my gift to her. I keep tweaking the pattern and trying new handles. So every one I make is different in more ways than one. Lots of fun!

Miss Lottie got a new dress this weekend since she was nice enough to let Mommy sew in brief spurts. I think it is my favorite so far, very happy colors if I do say so myself.

She also got to try chocolate milk and play outside with Daddy and Thumbs too.

And now instead of being asleep like most children she is trying to convince Thumbs to play catch with her in the living room. She succeeds as long as he remembers to let her have it back. Not that she wasn't asleep but she decided she needed to eat before finishing her sleep for the night. So in between throwing the tennis ball she gets a handful of gummi bears. Bedtime snack of champions...or something! However, she is now requesting "Mommy cuddles" so off to bed we go!

Zoo Trip

On Monday, Zac and I took Lottie on her first ever zoo trip! We had a wonderful day. Some of the animals were sleeping, but we still managed to see quite a few. Lottie's favorite is the elephant. We took her back to see them on the way out and she was singing and bouncing in her stroller with excitement. We also saw tamarins (little monkeys), meerkats, zebras, hippos, lions, tigers and of course since it was the National Zoo we saw a panda bear.

Some of my favorite pictures!

Yesterday, Lottie and I went on a picnic with Zac's family. We took the kids to the Maurertown Park and got some cute pics of the little girls (Lottie, Jenny, & Zelie) in their matching outfits. Of course with delayed preggie brain forgot to start taking pics until they were tired of sitting still. Ooops! We had lunch and played on the playground and then went to get apples to do caramel apples!

Busy Busy!!

Miss Lottie and I have had a busy few days. Zac has been off camping with the Boy Scouts (should be getting home shortly :) ). We spent most of Friday in Winchester with Tilly & Jenny. Both JoAnn's & Old Navy were having sales. I found some very pretty fabrics to start Lottie's "big girl" quilt. And got some notions to finish up some projects that are in progress. Only a few more weeks until our ultrasound, and then I can start planning things for our new little one.

Yesterday, we spent most of the day playing at Tilly's. Lottie got to play with all of Jenny's toys, which of course are far more exciting than her own. And I got much needed help with a dress pattern. I wish they'd put the instructions in English, or at least in a way I can understand. But then again I'm very visual so as soon as Tilly showed me I completely understood. Joey (Tilly's hubby) came home early from the camping trip and they watched Lottie so I could go to Mass. Lottie had a blast because they took her to the park & to get ice cream, two of her favorite things.

I finished her dress this morning in time to get Eliza to help take pictures of it, pick up the girls from CCD and get them all dropped off and get to my parents in time for Sunday brunch. I am now finally sitting in peace and quiet...well it will be at least while she sleeps. The next two days are busy too. Zac and I are taking Lottie to the National Zoo tomorrow and we are going to Dayton and the farmer's market on Tuesday with Nana/Laureen. So much fun, so little time. Will update soon with pics from the zoo. I can't wait to go, especially since Lottie loves animals!

Here are some pics of Lottie's new dress! Miss Lottie loves showing off for the camera! She really likes looking at the picture right after it's taken so it takes some doing to keep her in front of the camera.

Max decided he needed to help with the pictures. Not so sure that Miss Lottie agrees.

A fun purse for me!

We had a nice quiet weekend. It was wonderful because I was able to finally finish the purse I started months ago and get my craft room organized. All my things are now in one room, no more running up and down the stairs looking for things. I'm so very excited, now if only Lottie would go to sleep on time;)

I also got some very exciting news this morning. My sister-in-law, Miss Tilly, my partner in "sewing crime", is expecting her second baby in May. So very happy for them, especially since little Jenny has been saying that she needs a baby! I guess little ones know best sometimes. Lottie has been obsessed with my tummy since before we found out I was pregnant this time.

My lovely purse! Not quite the way the pattern looked, but practice makes perfect right? And everyone always needs another purse;)

My Lottie decided that the fall schedule for the Parks & Rec Assoc. needed to be taken seriously. She pulled up her chair to read.

Some of My Latest Projects

A fun scarf that I made for Miss Eliza's birthday!

My Lottie modeling her new dress. A big thanks to Tilly for helping me figure out patterns!

Please Some Duck

Ducky has finally gotten herself a blog=) Since I seem to be constantly busy these days I figured this would be the best way to keep everyone updated on the latest fun and exciting adventures and also show my latest projects since not everyone gets to see them before they get given away as gifts etc. I have lots of new and exciting projects in the works. My biggest is sewing for my Lottie. Pics will be posted as soon as I can get my camera and load them because she loves to model for the camera.
