Well, she has a "moose" and thankfully his shoulder is not actually broken, just bruised, due to getting slightly stuck. I just got back from the hospital for the 2nd time. The first time I had Zoey with me and they wouldn't let me in. So I brought her home and raced back so I could be there during visiting hours. Thankfully they didn't try to kick me out again. I got to keep Tilly company while Joey was out getting dinner and the baby was off being checked out. And then I met the "Moose" or "Tank" or whichever nickname they end up using. He is one big boy! And I think he might be longer than Zoey. His feet are definitely longer. It's been a long time since I've gotten to meet a baby in a hospital that wasn't mine so I had a lot of fun taking pics. Hopefully I didn't exhaust his momma too much.

Baby Anthony is HERE!!!!
He arrived this evening a few minutes before 7. I got to talk to Miss Tilly and she sounds tired but considering she just gave birth to a baby that weighs 10 lbs 11.6 oz and is 22.75 inches long she sounds great!

Almost 2 and crazy Loggie Sue!!!
My darling little baby is almost two! I can't believe it! Two years ago this week we moved back home and it was brutally hot and I was very pregnant...so much has changed!!! We now have not one but two beautiful girls...and they continue to amaze me everyday.
Zoey is three months tomorrow and is laughing and cooing at anything and everything. She is going to be one of those annoyingly happy people I just know it!
But this post is about my Charlotte aka Lottie, Loggie Sue. She has grown up so much in the last few weeks. Her hair goes up in a ponytail now. She is talking more and sharing more of what is going on in her head. Her favorite word at the moment seems to be "Come". She still yells for us from the next room but it now "Ma, Ma, Ma" and then as soon as we answer she says "come". As in surely now you'll drop the dinner you are cooking for me and come running. Its rather cute in a somewhat annoying way.
She is a tiny mama. Loves her baby doll and takes care of it. Anything I do with Zoey she copies. It is so very sweet.
The other day she pushed her car up next to the desk that our tv sits on. So I asked her what she was doing. She very matter of factly answered "cwimbing" (climbing). And when I made the mistake of asking why, her response was "shoes", in a sort of 'duh! mom' tone. There is a dvd case on the desk w/ people wearing shoes, so for my crazy girly girl this made perfect sense to stand up to see them closer. She's only two...I can't imagine how she's going to be at 13 when it comes to shoes and clothes.
Tilly is so sweetly making her some t-shirt dresses to wear this summer. And she brought the first three over last week. Charlotte insisted on trying all three on before she would decide which one she wanted to wear. As her daddy says "such a girl!"
She has learned to jump. Only two inches off the ground but jumping it is. And she likes to play "ro"...sometimes its ring around the rosy and sometimes its roll the ball...
And perhaps the funniest thing ever...she gave her dolly a time out and told it to be nice...wonder where she had to hear that one...hmmm at least it stuck in her head somewhat
Sometimes I just have to remind myself how lucky I am...I don't always want to sell her to 'morroccan monkey farmers'...only sometimes, like when I want to be asleep. I just wanted to keep everyone updated...especially the girls in Seattle (I think that's where they are today) since she has gotten so big recently...
A belated happy mother's day to all the mommies!

Domesticity or something....
The girls and I have had a rather productive day so far. And I'm feeling slightly proud of myself so I thought I'd share. Charlotte did lots of little jobs this morning and it helped keep her crazy levels down a bit. She fed the dog, "helped" with the laundry, and picked up stuff off the floor for me. It was actually mostly helpful. Zoey slept in til 10 so we got a lot done before she was up. I even hung diapers out on the clothesline outside. It sags a lot more than expected so it needs to be fixed before I can use it for anything else. I also vacuumed and cleaned the kitchen. I even got a head start on dinner by making the rice and turning on the crock pot full of beans. Now if only my dining room would clean itself. Who knew that being the grown up and keeping the house clean was such hard work...but I am getting there. I'll post pics of my kitchen with its new curtains and my pretty backyard w/ clothesline once Zoey lets me put her down long enough to find the cord for my camera again.
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely day! I've got my doors open to let in the wonderful, full of allergens but I don't care breeze! I figure my nose is already mad at me so what difference does it make!

My crazy hams!
We have taken tons of pics the last few weeks. My girls have decided they like to pose. Zoey just beams whenever I start to take pictures. And Lottie has decided that holding Zoey always involves the camera so she yells "Cheese!" and stretches her neck like a giraffe every time she sees the camera. I think she learned that from Zelie.

Projects, Simplicity, and Cleaning!
My goal for the summer is to get our house more functional. I have decided that it is absolutely ridiculous that I can't keep the four rooms that we actually use in our house clean. So far I have made great progress in the kitchen and living room. They are easily picked up now and I'm caught up on the dishes. A dishwasher is at the top of the list for our next house. And the bedroom is in the midst of the clothing rotation so that will soon be fixed. My biggest problem is the dining/sewing/office room mostly because it serves so many functions. I have great (hopefully, cheap) plans for a craft cabinet center and desk so as soon I figure out precisely what I'm doing we can get that moving along.
The biggest help has been decluttering, weeding out the things we don't use. For only having been married for just under 3 years we have accumulated a lot of unnecessary things. So I'm very excited with our progress. Less things = less to clean up! And having a routine that I actually stick to will be a help too. This week has been almost on track, with a few minor Charlotte troubles at bedtime.
A big organization project is the large amount of fabric and sewing supplies that are spread around. I have great plans to use them all so I have to get better system so I can get to what I need. This week I'm going to finish up the skirts for my summer wardrobe. And then I can move on to try new patterns for Charlotte's fall clothes. Thanks to my nice Tilly I don't have to do anything for her summer clothes and Zoey is fully set. And then too quickly will come Halloween and Christmas. If anyone has any costume suggestions for the girls I'd love to hear them. And I think they will both get a quilt this year so I should get busy on those asap. My list keeps growing...aaaaahh!!! House needs to be functional so I can justify the amount of time I want to spend on fabric=)

Sleeping babies
As I was finishing my last post Charlotte got up from her nap. Well, sort of. She climbed up in my lap and fell back to sleep. She has gotten so big since the last time I held her like this=-(
And Zoey is asleep in the swing...Ah I love the sound of naptime...

Funny Girls!
Well...I have decided that I don't need to sell my girls to Moroccan monkey farmers...at least not today! Yesterday, however, was another story. They both were grumpy and miserable until about 9 last night. Then Charlotte finally decided that she would lay in her bed nicely so I could take a bath and Zoey spit up so she could smile again (or something). It was truly odd...at least for my normally pleasant baby to fuss all afternoon and then like a light switch being turned on she was back to her normal sunny self.
They are both getting so big. And learning new tricks everyday. Charlotte seems to learn 6 new words a day and now she shows me "two" by holding up one finger on each hand. Zoey is happy as a clam to sleep in her swing and be a ham for the camera. As soon as I find my misplaced cord thingie I'll upload the latest pics. Charlotte loves to hold Zoey and say "cheese" for me so I get some pretty funny ones mixed in w/ the cute ones.
